Legal Assistance is available for persons sixty and over who need non-fee-generating, non-criminal legal assistance with simple wills, power of attorney, consumer assistance, Social Security and SSI (other than disability), Medicare, Medicaid, QMB, SLMB, or health insurance issues. Law firm representatives visit all senior centers periodically and provide legal assistance and insurance counseling. No fee is charged for covered services, but donations are accepted and encouraged.

SARCOA is now accepting FY 2009 proposals to provide legal assistance beginning October 1, 2008.  Completed proposals are due by August 15, 2008 to SARCOA, Post Office Box 1886, Dothan, Alabama  36302.
